Experience Jamaa El Fna Square

Bustling Jamaa El Fna square is the beating heart of Marrakech. This is where you'll find storytellers, Chleuh dancing boys, snake charmers, traditional music and all the colourful chaos for which Marrakech is famed. And if all the hecticness makes you hungry, visit to one of the square's numerous food stalls to sample some of the city's culinary treats.
Chill out in Chefchaouen

Situated in the Rif Mountains in Northwestern Morocco, the beautiful town of Chefchaouen is known as 'The Blue Pearl' after the striking cobalt colour of its buildings. Sleep under the stars in the Sahara Desert

Located in central Marrakech, this beautiful 12-acre botanical garden is a world away from the bustle of the city. Sheltered peacefully within high earthenware walls you'll find a haven of exotic plants and tranquil pools, as well as the bright blue buildings which gave the name to the colour 'Majorelle Blue'.
Hike the High Atlas and conquer Toubkal

Though it requires no technical mountaineering experience, reaching Toubkal's 4167m summit is a challenging two-day trek. Happily for those of us who prefer our sightseeing to be more sedate, you don't have to scale North Africa's highest peak to appreciate the stunning beauty of the High Atlas range.

Food in Morocco

Morocco's mix of Mediterranean, Arabic, Andalusian and Berber influences has given rise to a colourful and distinctive cuisine. Rich, spicy and aromatic, ingredients like cumin, preserved lemons and saffron vie for attention alongside staples like lamb, beef and couscous. Although alcohol is not common in Morocco it's compensated for handsomely by 'Moroccan whisky', the country's ubiquitous sweet green tea with mint, poured into cups from a height to create the requisite frothy head.
