Depends on what you’re after! Summer (June–August) has the best weather, long daylight hours, and festivals galore. Spring and autumn bring fewer crowds and dreamy landscapes. Winter? Perfect for Christmas markets, whisky by the fire, and maybe even catching the Northern Lights.
Scotland’s weather can get quite unpredictable. You could get sunshine, rain, and a howling gale all in the same hour—so layering is key. Summers are mild (15–20°C), winters can be chilly (0–7°C), and it’s best to always have a waterproof jacket handy.
