Usually, late spring (May-June) & early fall (September-October) are the best times to visit Romania. Think pleasant weather and fewer crowds, perfect for exploration (and ice cream)!
Romania’s weather keeps things interesting! Summers (June-August) are warm, around 25°C to 30°C, perfect for beach days or castle-hopping. Winters (December-February) drop to chilly lows of -2°C to 5°C. Spring and autumn tend to be mild (10°C to 20°C). But it’s always a good idea to bring layers & an umbrella with you.

You’ll find ATMs almost everywhere in the cities. But make sure to carry some cash if you’re visiting more rural spots. Oh, and the ATMs here are multi-lingual! They speak both Romanian and English.
Around 3-7 days will give you enough time to tick of Romania’s best bits & discover some hidden gems too.
Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s definitely appreciated. You can round up your bill or leave about 10-15% at restaurants if you really love the food & service.
Tap water is usually safe to drink in the cities. But we recommend that you check with your Trip Manager if you’re unsure.

Romania is gradually becoming more accepting. LGBTQIA+ support is more common in cities like Bucharest and Cluj. While there are challenges, LGBTQIA+ pride events and safe spaces are growing.
