Arrive Paris Day 2
After checking in to your hotel in Paris, enjoy the afternoon in this cosmopolitan city before meeting your Tour Manager and fellow travellers at 6pm for dinner and a meeting. Then, it’s into the city for a tour of Parisian Illuminations.

Paris Days 3 and 4
Two full days in this amazing city to see some of the most celebrated icons in Europe, including a visit to a French perfume house and to the majestic Château Versailles (entry not included), home to Louis XIV. Walk the famous boulevards, visit world-famous museums, or shop for French fashion in your free time. Take the opportunity to visit the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe or the Champs Elysées. Why not complete your Parisian experience with a French meal and a famous Parisian cabaret?

Paris to Amsterdam Day 5
Travel by fast train to Amsterdam while the coach does the hard work and takes the luggage. Afternoon orientation of Amsterdam before checking in to the hotel. This evening, venture back into the city to discover Amsterdam by night.

Amsterdam Day 6
Cruise into the countryside and bike around like the laid back locals with the group, past working windmills, to the world-famous village of Edam. In an intro into Dutch culture, see how clogs are made and try some of the famous Dutch Edam at a cheese farm.

Experience Amsterdam’s coffee shops, museums and cool, quirky boutiques. In your free time, wander along shady canals and pass gabled houses or try out Amsterdam’s multi-ethnic cuisine. This cultural melting pot dishes up loads of affordable food.

With an optional evening canal cruise, you’ve got a chance to get to know the group, unwind with a few drinks and uncover Amsterdam at water level. Get some pointers on the city’s hot spots from your Tour Manager and head into town for a fun night out.

Amsterdam to Berlin Day 7
This morning we board the Contiki Coach and head east and continue to Berlin, the cultural capital of Germany. You’ll have your first glimpse of the Berlin Wall and time to sample the great nightlife of this vibrant city.

Berlin Day 8
Time to explore this lively city where East and West once met. A chance for an Historical Walking tour, a visit to the “Checkpoint Charlie” museum or to check out the great shops, cafés and nightlife.

Berlin to Prague Day 9
Drive south through Germany and stop for lunch in Dresden. We head into the Czech Republic for two nights in Prague, the golden city built on Seven Hills across the River Vltava.

Prague Day 10
Plenty of time to enjoy all that Prague offers on your free day. Wander through the Hradcany district, see St Vitus Cathedral and the Charles Bridge, maybe indulge in a cruise along the Vltava River for lunch? As the sun sets, grab a Pilsener and settle in to one of the many restaurants for some local fare.

Board your flight to Rome this morning to be walking in the footsteps of history by late afternoon.
Acquaint yourself with the city on a guided coach and walking tour to maximise the rest of your free time.
