Dr Martin Luther King Jr Memorial - Memphis
by – Alex McCarty, Tour Manager, North America Memphis, and the entire south for that matter, was a hotbed of racial discord and a battleground for the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s, culminating with the tragic assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in 1968 at the downtown Loraine Motel. The hotel now stands as a memorial to the slain leader as the American Civil Rights Museum and definitely worth a visit.
