Mataranka
South from Katherine in the Northern Territory is the Mataranka Pool Reserve, near the Mataranka Homestead. Thermal springs surround lush, tropical forest and the warm body temperature waters are great for a relaxing swim. Mataranka is also home to the historic Elsey homestead, setting for Jeannie Gunn’s book ‘We of the Never-Never’.

Itter was one of the nicest town's I've ever been in, absolutely gorgeous. It's a sleepy town, but on Contiki you bring your own nightlife. This was one stop I wont forget.
