More About Me

The ultimate goal in my life is to travel the world and never have to worry about money. I aim to visit as many of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites as I can in my lifetime (and that's a big shoe to fill at 878 of them!). Of course, that situation will probably never happen unless I win the lottery, in which case I would be on a plane within hours with all my worldly belongings strapped to my back. While I’m not living my life vicariously through the travel and history networks, I write, blog, and play way too much Rockband and Guitar Hero for my own good. I went to university for Communications Studies and English with the ultimate dream of getting into television broadcasting, but find myself now working in marketing and dreaming of doing something involving the preservation and proliferation of historical buildings in and around the City of Toronto. If only I could find a way to combine my two passions. The best trip I ever went on was when I went to Ireland with my best friend in 2003 to study Irish Literature while traveling around and between Galway, Limerick and Dublin. What made the experience was living with an Irish family and immersing myself fully in the culture Being Canadian and living in such a young, diverse country, it’s a bit of a shock to live in a place with such a deep, strong ,and very much alive cultural past. I truly believe that traveling and the experiences that come with it can change one’s life and outlook for the rest of their lives. In September 2009. I’m looking forward to making my first trip with Contiki to England, Scotland and Wales, and of course meeting people who share my passions!
