More About Me

HI! I am going on the aussie explorer in march 2010. So anyone who is thinking of too then please make contact so I know I won't be the only one haha.. I live in Canterbury a small city in Kent in England. I am currently on my gap year trying to work 3 jobs which is quite interesting to make happen but hopefully all the money will go towards going to Australia and NZ from jan-june/july. I can't wait to go travelling and this is going to be my first big trip away on my own so if anyone has any travel stories or advice then they would be much appreciated! In the future i would love to go around the world etc but as for now I thought this would be a pretty good start. Apart from travel I love music, drama and dance etc and hopefully will study drama and maybe english at uni. I also like the outdoors and walking, canoeing, I used to do a lot of rock climbing but hopefully can re-engage in oz! Also I am always up for a night out on the town, which is why I have decided on Contiki. The combination of travel, adventure and party what more could you ask for? Anyhow after all this waffling it would be nice to hear from people who are going on this trip or who have been on others etc! lots of love caitlinxx

My Recent Comments

  1. i have the same dilemma as you as to know what to take as i can’t have too much for the tour bus etc but then also i need enough for 6 months as after darwin i am saying in the northern territory until around june time! i guess when travelling you can wear the same clothes again and again and buy stuff along the way. that’s cool you do cricket professionally? what kind of stuff will you be doing for a cricket placement apart from play cricket of course!!

  2. Hi i am going to australia on my gap year from 27th jan 2010. decided to book the aussie explorer tour in march. hope other people are going then cos i have paid the full amount getting £89 off for doing it 6 months in advance but still i am a bit scared that people won’t be going then. anyway i don’t think it is werid you are doing a tour in your own country. it is huge over there plus so much diversity. I am from England so going over there with some family there etc i hardly ever see i am so so excited. Bit worried about money for the tour and budgeting all the extra activities etc. also the whole back pack thing. any help would be very much appreciated of how much to bring and also as i am out there for a month and a bit before. anyhow hope to have some feedback too!
