In the north, the Carolinas are most famous for the worlds first sustained flight by the Wright Brothers while in the south there remains a unique mixture of the past and present. The south is renowned for its freedom-minded spirit and was one of the major players in the American Revolution.
The Carolinas , north and south alike, possess striking areas of natural beauty between their sandy beaches, exciting cities and wooded mountain regions.
