Everything that is beautiful, ambitious, relaxed, cosmopolitan and resilient about the city of San Francisco is captured aboard a sail boat cruising through the bay, toward the hills of Marin County, past ‘The Rock’ (Alcatraz) and out to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Even though the winds of the famously chilly city may kick up, and the fog may roll in and shroud its skyline, and the waters of the bay can be cold and choppy, not one ounce of romance is lost in the unforgettable experience of being on a 50 foot catamaran, while Bob Marley is playing softly in the background, finger foods and beverages are being served, and the sun is setting on your shoulders—into the Pacific.
A one hour-long sail is all it takes to fall in love with this city, and like the dinner in Chinatown, it’s the last opportunity to be together as a group, to seal the memories of this holiday and begin making plans for the next.

Please note: This optional excursion is seasonal and weather dependent.
The Sunset Sail is offered as an optional excursion on Contiki USA Tours visiting San Francisco.
