Summer Down Under
Last Updated: Feb. 16, 2011

- Sydney is heating up and Bondi is just one of the many beaches where you can feel the summer sizzle.
- The summer sun makes the Great Barrier Reef and the islands of the Whitsundays even more tempting.
- As the mercury rises, so does the nightlife in Cairns – the party capital of the north.
- Escape the heat in the lush, green rainforests of Fraser Island and the Daintree
- The Australian Sun is one of the harshest in the world

I’m a Sydneysider and a Bondi local and love Bondi Beach. However, it is always packed with people and full of tourists, so if you’re looking for a more chilled, down-to-earth beach hang out, check out Tamarama, Coogee or Bronte beach, all 5-10mins from Bondi.

Manly Beach on the North shore of Sydney is always a cool, very popular place to relax and do touristy stuff. Its easily accessible by the ferry which leaves from Circular Quay
