The most exciting thing to do in Old Montreal is to take the Jet Boat Cruise on the Lachine Rapids of the St. Lawrence, but if one wants a relaxing afternoon strolling the quaint cobblestone streets of one of Canada’s oldest cities, Old Town Montreal or ‘Vieux Montreal’ lives up to that expectation.

One can check out the various street performers or artists. You can also relax in one of the many outdoor cafes and sample some poutine, Quebec style French fries. You can also see the Waterfront where Cirque du Soleil was born, or you can stroll through the gift shops and art galleries. An afternoon is Montreal may be one of the most charming experiences of your visit to North America.
