Nightlife - Prague
Last Updated: Nov. 26, 2008
The fairytale look of the city masks some crazy nightlife in Prague and the nightlife in the city is legendary amongst travellers from all over the world.
Clubs like the 24 hour Lavka bar at the foot of the Charles Bridge and the chaos of the huge ‘Face 2 Face’ offering what often feels like no rules partying.
The Czech Republic however has a reputation above all for cheap booze. Although their integration to the European Union and ever-increasing numbers of tourists have lead to a rise in prices, it does not take much exploring to find a small out of the way bar with almost criminally cheap prices on Czech beers, vodka and Becherovka (Traditional and super-strong Czech liquor made from secret herbs).

i was in prague over the summer(2008), and the best thing i can recommend is the official prague pub crawl. it was the best night i had on my two month holiday around europe. what i thought was going to be an average night out, turned into a rocking party with over 100 people on the same pub crawl. here’s the website: http://www.pubcrawl.cz. these guys really know how to throw a party and were great hosts. most highly recommended.

We’ve added the link to the official Lavka club site – facetoface.cz seems to have sold out to advertising (for now) – Lavka in right in the cente of the city and certainly caters more for tourists while Face to Face is generally more dance music but they have theme nights there and is a little further out of town.
