More Tour and Travel Advice for the USA and Canada

New York City is serviced by three major airports: JFK, La Guardia and Newark.
After claiming your luggage, find the ground transportation desk in the baggage claim area. Tell the representative you want to take the Super Shuttle to the the Milford Plaza in Manhattan (or the Hotel Beacon depending on where you tour is staying – check your Contiki Travel Documents).
The best, easiest and cheapest way to get from the airport to your hotel is to take the blue and yellow Super Shuttle van. You will be escorted outside to the van that will take you to the hotel.
Super Shuttles from the airport do not need to be booked in advanced as a Super Shuttle representative on the spot can do this for you. However, you can book them in advance at www.supershuttle.com and put in the discount code 57ZAX for $2.00 off the fare.
Vans come roughly every 20 minutes, cost around $15-20 US for the trip – airport to hotel (you pay the driver upon completing your journey or give the confirmation to the driver if you booked online) and will drop you at the door of where you want to go.
It is customary to tip the driver US$1-2.
You can also take a taxi to either hotel for no more than $50.00 plus tip
