About this, there can be no doubt: no conversation about the world’s classic cities is complete without mentioning New Orleans!
Everything from its unique geography to its cuisine, its architecture, its musical heritage and influence, and the resiliency of its people makes New Orleans the stuff of legend, and to be sure there are plenty of legends woven throughout its rich history as well.
Ask anyone living there who survived the great storm of 2005, also known as Katrina, and they will proudly tell you ‘Ain’t no little bit of water gonna hold us down!’.

Recent Tips
Make sure you try currywurst in Germany. It's basically a hot dog with tomato sauce (ketchup) and curry powder. Tastes brilliant and only costs 1 or 2 Euro.
I bought a high sierra duffel bag - it has a zip down panel on the back and you can pull out the back pack straps…I also have a laptop back pack…
A tip for people looking for a decent coffee shop.. if you don't already know about it, you will because most Contiki travellers find out about it - its The Grasshopper. Ask a local and they should be able to tell you where to find it.
