It’s All About You!

Your photos, your advice and your stories – the new contiki.com is dedicated to you – our travellers.

Share your thoughts, ideas and bits of travel advice at the bottom of any Contikipedia article and upload photos for other to see on your own personal profile.

Throughout the site you will see photos and travel tips and advice form our past travellers while our expert Tour Managers also weigh in with their advice and travel tips.

My Trips

The ‘My Trips’ tab across the top of every page allows you to quickly review the tour itineraries saved to your profile. Sign In or Register your profile at the top of any page and use the ‘Save this Trip to My Trips’ button in the top right of any of our tour itineraries to add it to your personal ‘My Trips’ page.

Use ‘My Trips’ to quickly compare tours and narrow down your choices, email information to a friend or print out tour information.

You can also save and view Contikipedia articles to your own personal ‘My Trips’ page.

Better Profiles

Photos, links other sites, information about yourself and the ability to save tour itineraries and Contikipedia articles are all displayed on your personal profile – Sign In or Register at the top of any page.

Better Search

The search capabilities have been refined. You’ll find the ‘search’ box in the top right of any page and you’ll get tour results as well as Contikipedia articles and photos related to your search. It’s not perfect yet and we’re still working in it.

Comments

Anyone can make comments on any of the articles in Contikipedia. Join in a discussion, add your own thoughts, ideas and bits of travel advice at the bottom of any Contikipedia article. It’s easy to register and create your own profile. Check the bottom of each article to see what other people are talking about and to have your own say.

Check out other travellers photods on the site or in their profiles and leave them comments or questions and check out what others are saying about your photos.

Tips

We choose the most helpful and useful comments to appear as ‘Recent Tips’ throughout our site. Look down the right hand side of any page to check out the best travel tips our past travellers and Tour Managers have to offer.

Maps

We’ve included Google Maps in all our tour itineraries so you can see where your tour goes. Zoom in or out to get an even better idea of where our destinations are and use the ‘Show Itinerary Route’ button at the bottom of every map to see you’re going.

Please note: We’re still working on this in order to make it even better.

Contiki Experience

Want to know more about what it’s like to be on tour? Check it all out under the Contiki Experience tab at to top of any page.

Tags

The ‘tag cloud’ appears in the right hand column through the Contikipedia and looks like a jumble of different sized words.

We ‘tag’ every Contikipedia article with related key words when we publish them. The bigger the word, the more used the tag is.

Click on the tags to see all the articles tagged with that word and use the tag cloud to further refine your search by clicking on more tags.

Use the ‘tag cloud’ to find info on travel topics and get answers to questions you may never have thought to ask.

More Photos

Upload pictures to your profiles – the best of your tour pictures are on show throughout the site.

Save Articles and Tours to your Profile

When you choose to ‘Save this Trip to My Trips’ or ‘Save this Article to My Trips’ your saved articles and trips appear on your profile as well as ‘My Trips’.

Email Article and Tours to your friends

The ‘Email’ button on our itineraries and Contikipedia articles make it easier to share tours and information with your friends and travel companions.

Print Article and Tour Pages

The ‘Print’ button on our itineraries and Contikipedia articles allows you to change the page to a printer-friendly layout making it easier for you to review and share tours and information away from the web. Please consider the environment before printing anything though.
