Munich is the capital of Bavaria and home to a little over 1.5 million people, making it the third largest city in Germany. The city has its roots as a trade center and home of the Barvarian Wittlesbach family but is today more of a university town with a young, happening vibe. The most famed and visited venues in the city are is sensational beer halls while the city also plays host to the original, biggest and best Oktoberfest (Beerfest) celebration in the world. The city however goes a lot deeper with great shopping, antique buildings, great museums and fantastic food.
