Monument Valley is a serene getaway with historic and iconic rock formations that should not be missed!
A visit to Monument Valley feels as though you have been plucked out of your everyday life and dropped in the center of an old John Wayne western movie! Monument Valley is located in the Navajo nation and exposes you to both breathtaking geologic formations as well as insight into the Dine Native American culture and their influence on the land. See the effect that erosion and other climactic forces have had on the topography of Monument Valley. The Three Sisters and the Mittens are a can’t miss!

Monument Valley was absoulutely fantastic. We went in winter so there was snow all over the place and it was amazing!!!

Recent Tips
Some other suggestions, although not necessary - Travel pillow, chewing gum (especially for those who have ear problems during flight), book and/or ipod and one change of clothing (air lines do lose luggage occasionally)
Itter was one of the nicest town's I've ever been in, absolutely gorgeous. It's a sleepy town, but on Contiki you bring your own nightlife. This was one stop I wont forget.
My best advice is to step outside your comfort zone and make an effort to talk to EVERYONE on tour. I made friends from 6 continents on the one tour!!!
