Los Angeles

Los Angeles…’LA’...the ‘City of Angels’....land of glitz, glamour, bright lights, Hollywood dreams, the filthy rich and mega movie stars.
The city’s biggest draw-card over the past century has been the movie industry and Hollywood while the beaches along the Californian coast have also drawn millions to not only visit, but live in LA.
The LA area is huge and the city is spread across a vast distance. LA itself expands and seamlessly to the other cities and counties that surround it, and even though downtown Los Angeles is the center for over 18 million people who live in it’s shadow, it is surprisingly small. LA is easily the biggest city in California and a popular starting point for the millions of people who not only visit California, but the USA, every year.

Yes, the Amtrak is an excellent way to travel between San Diego, Anaheim, and Los Angeles but I recommend renting a car.
There is so much to see and do in Cali and the public transportation isn’t as good as other states so plan ahead, rent a car, and you’ll have a blast!

Because Los Angeles is so spread out, it is hard to get between the different areas of the city and the other city destinations such as Anaheim. If you pre-book trips to parks such as Universal, transportation is provided. One great way to get between places like San Deigo, Anaheim, and Los Angeles is to take the Pacific Surfliner, which is an Amtrak train.
