London is one of the most happening, famous and cosmopolitan cities in the world.

Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, the West End, London Eye, Oxford Street, Harrods, Kensington, Hyde Park, the Tower of London is just the surface of what London has to offer while all the pubs, clubs and bars add to the vibe of one of Europe’s most buzzing capital cities.

The city is Contiki’s European base with many of our tours starting and finishing at the Royal National Hotel.

  4. during my business trip while at work in Hurtownia elektryczna I enjoed visiting following towns: camden town, knightsbridge and hammersmith. Best thing about London is that all important places such as national gallery or natural history museum are for free!! love it

  5. With only few exceptions I’ve visited every capital in Europe – and London is my absolute favourite! I’ve been there for one month and it never ever got boring!
Especially in the summer mild evenings spent in pubs next to the Themse are wonderful! Don’t miss the London Eye and also Madame Tussauds is always worth a visit. If you have time enaugh I highly recommend daytrips. I’ve been to Canterburry, Cambridge, Bath and Stonehenge and especially Cambridge and Stonehenge were absolutely gorgeous!
It was definitely not my last visit in this adorable city!

  6. I loved the British Museum… I could be in that place for HOURS!! And I agree.. it is even better when the price is free. I loved the shopping over there… And the restaurant PingPong near Waterloo station… We also went to a little cafe where they do really nice tarts!

  11. London is one of the BEST places to go shopping! If you came to shop, you MUST treat yourself to just a little something from the TopShop on Oxford Street. Am I right? It’s a bit of a madhouse in there, though.

Some other stores that I really enjoyed were Monsoon/Accessorize, Miss Selfridge, and Jane Norman. But keep in mind the British Pound is nearly double the US Dollar!

  12. Catching a premiership match between August and May is a must for any football fan – Chelsea, Arsenal, Fulham, West Ham, Tottenham are all within reach of the city. Movie theatres in London’s suburbs are generally half the ticket price of ones in the West End
