Kakadu National Park

Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory is one of the most scenic National Parks in Australia, and certainly one of the most famous.
The park contains two very distinct types of wilderness. The first is the Alligator River system with it’s black soil flood plains and paperback lagoons, the second; the rugged walls of the Arnhem Land escarpment with its spectacular gorges, streams and waterfalls.
The northern end of Kakadu is series of shallow lagoons and billabongs that attract a spectacular array of water birds while the park is also home to Cannon Hill, the aboriginal ‘art gallery’ of Arnhem Land.

Be wary of gladiators outside the colosseum. They don't take photos for free and can be quite agressive about their payment. Also don't be fooled into taking an unlicensed guided tour of the Colosseum either....
