Jazz Festival - Montreal

If your tour happens to be in Montreal during the International Jazz Festival, count this as a huge bonus. 2 million visitors attend the 10 day event from late June to around July 10th. Many blocks in downtown Montreal are closed to traffic. And rain or shine, 5 free outdoor stages play host to variety of musicians from noon to midnight. Past musicians in the last 30 years included Diana Krall and Norah Jones, Pat Metheny, Johnny Clegg, Chick Corea, and Ray Charles.

I'm a Bondi local...it is always packed with people...if you're looking for a more chilled beach hang out, check out Tamarama, Coogee or Bronte beach, all 5-10mins from Bondi.
A tip for people looking for a decent coffee shop.. if you don't already know about it, you will because most Contiki travellers find out about it - its The Grasshopper. Ask a local and they should be able to tell you where to find it.
