The town of Jasper is located in the Canadian Province of Alberta within Jasper National Park. This small locale of 4,500 was named for an early fur trading post overseer, Jasper Hawse. Locals and visitors alike enjoy Jasper’s small-town feel which is maintained in effort to appreciate the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and rivers.

This quaint township is perfectly situated to provide visitors access to summer activities like white water rafting, fishing, hiking, biking, and sking in the winter months. It also provides short driving distances to natural attractions such as Maligne Canyon, Maligne Lake, and the Icefields Parkway.

After a long day basking in the beauty of Jasper National Park, check out the cafes, bakeries, restaurants, and shops. Jasper township does have a good variety of shops and restaurants for a place of its size.
