Getting to the Australis Sovereign, Surfers Paradise
Last Updated: Apr. 03, 2008
There are two airports that are within reasonable distance of Surfers Paradise and the Australis Sovereign hotel – the starting point for a number of tours in Australia.
The closest airport (by far) is Gold Coast International Airport at Coolangatta (OOL) while Brisbane International (BNE) is still within easy reach of Surfers Paradise.
Please Note: If you take a taxi or use a shuttle service tips are most certainly not expected, and it is by no means rude if you do not tip, they will not be refused by any driver.
From Gold Coast Airport…
by Taxi
A taxi form Gold Coast airport to the Australis Sovereign is roughly 30 minutes drive and AU$60.
by Shuttle
Gold Coast Airport is quite small and you should make your way to one of the transport and information counters to book your shuttle. The shuttle will take your from the airport to the hotel for roughly AU$18-20. You do not need to pre book and companies like Surfside and Con-X-Ion are available.
From Brisbane Airport…
by Train
The Airtrain in Brisbane runs directly from Brisbane airport to the Gold Coast. The cost is roughly AU$25 and you should get off at ‘Nerang’ station where you can either take a public bus or a taxi to the hotel.
by Shuttle
Shuttle companies like Con-X-Ion and Coachtrans will drop you off at the hotel for roughly AU$40.
