Food and Drink - Nice

Dining out is a very important part of French culture and Nice shows no exception to this with a restaurant or cafe on every corner and 3 or 4 more in between. The food in Nice is a mix of French and Italian style cooking. The most well known local dish is probably the Nicoise Salad while being a sea-side town, fish and seafood also feature heavily. Travel down to the Old Town where you’ll find the best variety of cafes and restaurants.

Some other suggestions, although not necessary - Travel pillow, chewing gum (especially for those who have ear problems during flight), book and/or ipod and one change of clothing (air lines do lose luggage occasionally)
For a great view of the city (especially at night) go to the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris. It also offers a great vantage point for viewing the water show at the Bellagio.
My best advice is to step outside your comfort zone and make an effort to talk to EVERYONE on tour. I made friends from 6 continents on the one tour!!!
