Contiki recommended stores

Certain cities and regions are known for their local products and crafts, for example the perfume of France leather products in Florence, cuckoo-clocks from Germany, watches from Switzerland, clogs from the Netherlands and glass from the islands around Venice, opals in Queensland; the list is almost endless.

As part of your tour you will be given the opportunity to see demonstrations of local craftspeople at work. Contiki has selected these factories or stores for their standard of demonstration, quality or service, after sales service and product guarantees. We feel that they offer good value for money and only use highly responsible and well established traders.

We do however stress that you are by no means under any obligation to purchase anything. You may find another store with cheaper products, other may be more expensive. Ultimately, its your choice.

Some of these stores offer a mail service but please be aware that that it cane take up to six months, and occasionally longer for the goods to arrive at your home and that you may be liable for customs and excise duties on these products.

We strongly recommend you obtain a copy of the customs regulations from your home country before you leave as they vary in almost every country.
