Broadway Shows - New York

Visiting a Broadway show usually tops people’s to-do lists when they travel to New York. If you are want a classic show, go for ‘Phantom of the Opera’ or ‘Les Miserables’ (I prefer Les Mis!), and you will not be disappointed.
If you are looking for something more recent, ‘Wicked’ and ‘Spring Awakening’ are both fantastic. My FAVORITE show, and my biggest recommendation, is ‘Avenue Q’. The score is hilarious, the story is heartwarming, and you will definitely love it! (and there are puppets!)
If you are going to see one Broadway show in your life, really be selective. Some shows are fun but not a must-see (‘Putnam County Spelling Bee’) and some shows are just worth skipping despite their level of being well known (‘Beauty and the Beast’).

That is a great recommendation. You can also get some info on it at the Airport New York when you land.

I’d have to say that RENT was my fav!
What a great production. If you buy a “2 for” ticket, you get 2 for the price of one, usually on the matinee showings. Ask your hotel or the New York Airport Info where to buy them. They are all over the city.
