More Tour and Travel Advice for New Zealand
Anyone arriving at Auckland Airport, either domestic or international, you can make your way to the Mercure Hotel (official site) by using the Air Bus. The Air Bus departs every 20 minutes from both terminals and tickets can be purchased from the driver.
When you book and pay for your tour you will receive a Travellers Guide booklet in the mail along with your Contiki documentation. If you mention Contiki and present your Travellers Guide booklet you will receive a 20% discount on the normal fare.
The Air Bus can also transfer you back to Auckland Airport for the same discounted price.
Air Bus operates between 6am and 10pm.
If you arrive or depart outside these hours Johnston’s Shuttle or Super Shuttle (official site) can also provide a transfer. Call toll free 0800 748 885 from within New Zealand.

The Chalet has huge a huge dining room with a great kitchen that is famous for it’s authentic Swiss fondue while there are also laundry facilities in the basement. With all the amenities of Camping Jungfrau. Thanks for sharing the informative post.

hey im rachel. im arriving in auckland airport at 1:00pm local time. and will need to get the airexpress bus to my hotel mercure auckland in the centre of the city.

Hi I am Franz Staying at the Mercure the night before the tour when i go there Next Year Arriving Early Evening on the 23rd of July 2012.Thought I would let you all know now you can buy your transfers through Kirra Tours who also specialise in New Zealand for a transfer from Auckland Airport to the Mercure Hotel.They use Super Shuttle but given a choice between that and the Airbus I would always opt for a prebooked transfer on arrival.

The Tirol is one of the most beautiful parts of the world. If you visit Hopfgarten, visit the trout farm - you can catch a fish, then have it for lunch!
The lodge that was stayed in was beyond my expectations! Beautiful! Make sure you check out the lodge's hot tub (breathtaking view) and the ice bar!
