More Tour and Travel Advice for Europe
Generally tour starting in Amsterdam stay at one of the two following hotels. You should however check and confirm this against your tour documents when you receive them. Most Dutch are very helpful and speak English perfectly.
Ibis Schiphol Hotel
There is a complementary shuttle bus that runs from the Schiphol Airport directly to the front door of the Ibis Schiphol (official site). Follow the signs for hotel shuttles once you clear immigration and take the Ibis/Accor shuttle. Buses depart approximately every 20 minutes.

Hotel Nieuw Slotania
From the airport take a train to Centraal Station (roughly 4 Euros) and from there take a taxi to the hotel (roughly 20 Euros) or bus number 21 from Centraal Station will drop you at the front door of the Hotel Nieuw Slotania (official site).

Recent Tips
Be wary of gladiators outside the colosseum. They don't take photos for free and can be quite agressive about their payment. Also don't be fooled into taking an unlicensed guided tour of the Colosseum either....
London is one of the BEST places to go shopping! If you came to shop, you MUST treat yourself to just a little something from the TopShop on Oxford Street.
Itter was one of the nicest town's I've ever been in, absolutely gorgeous. It's a sleepy town, but on Contiki you bring your own nightlife. This was one stop I wont forget.
