The Contiki Basement offers discounted rates on our regular hotels in central London. All Rates are Per Person, Per Night. You can book your hotel when you make your tour booking. Alternatively, some people also stay in hostels in London before or after their tour.

Royal National Hotel

  • Summer: Twin £40, Triple £30
  • Winter: Twin £39, Triple £29

Imperial Hotel

Official site

  • Summer: Single £75, Twin £50
  • Winter: Single £60, Twin £45

Contiki rates can only apply to Contiki clients staying for consecutive nights pre or post tour.

Checking in and out

If you are staying at the Royal National Hotel you can check in at the Basement while if you are staying at the Imperial Hotel you should go straight to the Imperial Hotel.

  • Check in time is at 2pm (maybe earlier if its not busy, which it rarely is.)
  • Check out is at 11am.

If you pre-book your accommodation through your Travel Agent, Contiki or the Contiki Basement you will receive a voucher which makes checking in even easier.

  3. Hey Yo Just wondering witch is better the Imperial or the Royal national hotel ? my tour starts on the 15th july and i get in @ heathrow on the 14 so i got some time on my hands to kik it or to go wondering around :D

    I’m staying at the Hilton Euston Hotel. It’s less than a mile away from the Royal National Hotel (where the tours generally start). Hope that helps! Have fun!

    I’m not sure if you ever check this, but I’m Eubee from Orlando and I’ll be arriving on May 11th for the European Horizons that departs May 13th.
    I was wondering if/how/where you booked accommodations for that one extra night… I’m kind of at a loss at where to start (and I leave in less than a week!).
